Kurzbiografie
Jan van Oordt wurde 1980 in Zürich geboren. Nach dem Abschluss seines Studiums der
Bildenden Kunst BA zog er in das Dorf St.Imier (CH). Dort gründete er 2018 den saisonalen
Kunstraum und das Residenzprogramm „La Dépendance“, das er seither leitet. 2019
schloss er sein Studium MA am Institut Art Gender Nature (IAGN) in Basel ab. Seine Praxis
hat sich entlang verschiedener Medien entwickelt, mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Video und
Installation in seiner früheren Karriere. In seinen jüngsten Arbeiten wendet er sich konzeptuellen
immersiven Mixed-Media-Installationen zu, mit einem starken Interesse an Assemblagen,
bei denen die einzelnen Teile der Installation sowohl in sich selbst als auch in der
räumlichen Anordnung
